Gary Hendershot is a Republican candidate for re-election to the Geneva Town Council At-Large.
Gary was appointed to the Council in 2018 and was elected in 2020.
Gary has dedicated his 33+ year Public Service career in helping others, with 29 of those years in a
supervisor role.
He has served as a delegate at the Indiana Republican Convention. He is currently an active member of Accelerate Indiana Municipalities, Geneva Plan Commission, Geneva Nuisance Board, Geneva Unsafe Building Appeal Board, South Adams Youth League and South Adams Trails Board.
Gary stood up for the Town Employees to get immediate pay increases and take-home vehicles to
ease the burden of the Covid Inflation and the private sector hiring frenzy. Gary fully supports the
Fire and Police Department in obtaining up to date equipment and for them to attend trainings to
better serve the citizens of Geneva.
Geneva is growing. Red Gold, ETI, J&M Manufacturing, and Muhlenkamp Sales and Service are all
investing in the town. The South Adams Trail is close to being completed to Berne. The Geneva Ball
Diamond Park is being rejuvenated into a custom complex for our youth under the guidance of the
Geneva Redevelopment Commission.
Geneva is in the process of a multi-million-dollar storm and sewer separation project. You deserve
a Council Member who reads every document, answers every email and asks questions to make
sure the job gets completed right.
Being a Town Council Member is no longer a one-hour meeting once a month. Gary has attended
numerous municipality trainings and webinars to keep up to date on new and improved
technologies to better the Town of Geneva. Gary has mowed yards for citizens who were having
nuisance complaints against them, has helped load trees after major wind storms, worked many
spring weekends getting the ball diamonds ready for play and volunteered countless hours assisting
the town for the Sesquicentennial celebration.
Gary brings Dedication, Education, Years of Budgeting Experience, Professional connections across
the State and a Fire in the belly to do what is right for All the Citizens of Geneva.
