State Sen. Travis Holdman (R-Markle) welcomed two local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s always great to see students from my district participate in the page program,” Holdman said. “It’s a unique opportunity for them to see how the legislative process operates firsthand. I encourage all Hoosier students to participate in this learning opportunity.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
