Lengerich, 76, of Geneva, IN, passed away with his family by his side at 5:15 AM on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at his residence in Geneva, IN. &nbsp;He was born on Sunday, April 6, 1947, in Decatur, IN. &nbsp;He married Deborah K. (McCullough) &nbsp;Lengerich on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at the St. George&#8217;s Episcopal Church, Berne, IN. &nbsp;David was a 1966 graduate of Decatur Catholic High School. He was a member of the St. George&#8217;s Episcopal Church, Berne, IN. David owned Davan in Berne and had also owned the Shell station in Berne. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 468 where he was a Past Commander and a lifetime member of the Geneva VFW. David loved going on family vacations and also enjoyed going on trips with friends. He enjoyed playing cards and watching Nascar races.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He will be forever missed by his Wife &#8211; Deborah K. (McCullough) Lengerich, Geneva, IN, Daughters &#8211; Tricia (Tim) Twitty, Linn Grove, IN, Carmen &#8220;Camie&#8221; (Scott) McDaniel, Berne, IN, Tari J. &#8220;TJ&#8221; Lengerich, Decatur, IN, Grandchildren &#8211; Nathan Twitty, Mitchell, IN, Brock Twitty, Berne, IN, Megan Armstrong, Portland, IN, Greysen Reed, Decatur, IN, 9 Great Grandchildren, Sister &#8211; Linda Fuhrman, Decatur, IN, andSister &#8211; Carol Ann (David) Bierschwale, Billings, MT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was preceded in death by his Father &#8211; Elmo Julius Lengerich, Mother &#8211; Geneva I. (Smith) Lengerich, 1st Wife &#8211; Patricia A. (Augsburger) Lengerich, Grandchild &#8211; Nykolas Lengerich, and Sister &#8211; Mary Lou Gaerte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing &amp; Glancy Funeral Home located at 100 N Washington Street Geneva on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A service to celebrate his life will be at Downing &amp; Glancy Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 with Pastor John McCullough &nbsp;officiating. &nbsp;Interment will follow in the M.R.E. Cemetery in Berne.
