{"id":13015,"date":"2024-02-08T13:35:53","date_gmt":"2024-02-08T18:35:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=13015"},"modified":"2024-02-08T16:47:21","modified_gmt":"2024-02-08T21:47:21","slug":"decatur-police-candidates-down-to-one","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2024\/02\/08\/decatur-police-candidates-down-to-one\/","title":{"rendered":"Decatur police candidates down to one"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By BOB SHRALUKA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>WZBD.com<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Decatur Police Department has a candidate for an opening on the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police Chief Kevin Gerber told the city&#8217;s board of works and safety at its latest meeting that the next step will be taking the applicant to Indianapolis for the PERF (Public Employees Retirement Fund) examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The board readily gave its approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gerber said the department had seven applicants for the opening, and five were interviewed.
