Emily Bleke and Hailey Cole combined for 38 points to lead Bellmont to a 48-34 win over Eastside Friday night at the Teepee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bleke was supremely efficient offensively, missing only three shots from the floor on her way to a game-high 24 points. Cole was likewise thrifty, hitting five of her eight two-point attempts and sinking her only three-point shot. She also had six steals and led all rebounders with 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the win the Braves improve to 10-3, while the Blazers fall to 12-2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Much of the play was helter-skelter, both teams pressing most of the time, forcing turnovers and producing several fast break buckets. The Braves ended with 20 turnovers, the Blazers 19. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bellmont coach Andy Heim wasn\u2019t exactly happy about his team\u2019s high turnover rate, but he understood it as a consequence of the two teams\u2019 style of play. \u201cTheir team is kind of a mirror of us,\u201d he said. \u201cThey\u2019re physical, they can shoot from every spot, they\u2019re going to rebound hard\u2014they\u2019re going to do all the things that we do. It\u2019s going to be a bit ugly at times. Do I wish we\u2019d take care of the ball more? Absolutely. With that being said, they\u2019re pressuring us like we\u2019re pressuring them. We probably forced them into turnovers that they typically don\u2019t make either.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
