{"id":11166,"date":"2023-12-27T09:05:51","date_gmt":"2023-12-27T14:05:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=11166"},"modified":"2023-12-27T09:05:52","modified_gmt":"2023-12-27T14:05:52","slug":"humor-marks-final-meeting-for-trio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2023\/12\/27\/humor-marks-final-meeting-for-trio\/","title":{"rendered":"Humor marks final meeting for trio"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By BOB SHRALUKA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>WZBD.com<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a serious and now and then a somber time, what with a longtime city official taking part in her last city council meeting and two veteran council members also winding up their tenures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So there were a few tearful moments and a bit of obvious emotion here and there, all permeated by the reminder that this was the final roundup, the time to bow out for Clerk-Treasurer Phyllis Whitright and council members Craig Coshow and Wylie Sirk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still, laughter played a major role as often occurs when friendships come to the forefront.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of the city officials and department heads who rose to thank Whitright almost always added a bit of extra with humor.
