Former Fort Wayne TV anchor Brien McElhatten made his debut on ABC4 in Salt Lake City on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He joined Emily Florez at the news desk, alongside chief meterorologist Alana Brophy and sports director Dana Greene for newscasts at 5, 6, and 10 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

McElhatten took the Salt Lake City anchor post after being abruptly fired last August by WPTA-21 in Fort Wayne. After a 6 p.m. newscast, management pulled him from anchoring the station’s 7 and 11 pm. newscasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The station gave no explanation for its actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

McElhatten and his wife, Decatur native Krista Miller, had been a husband-and-wife team news anchor team. She left the station in early October and will, along with daughter Millie, join her husband in Salt Lake City in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The daughter of Adam and Susan Miller of rural Decatur, Krista is a 2009 graduate of Bellmont High School. She studied at Butler University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in electronic journalism.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
