As the City of Decatur’s annual leaf collection nears its end, planning for the upcoming winter weather is already moving ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday, December 8, will be the final day for the leaves to be taken from curbside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSo we’re asking people to get their leaves out on or before December 4 to give our crews enough time to get them all collected,\u201d Operations Manager Jeremy Gilbert told Decatur City Council at its latest meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone with questions should call the public works department, 724-3356.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year’s collection was slowed by one of the city’s two leaf suckers going down for several days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
