Decatur Main Street has named Jamie Gephart as its latest Samuel L. Rugg Award recipient.
The announcement was made at the organization’s recent annual meeting held at The Hive in downtown Decatur.
President Max Miller presented the group’s projects and events scheduled for 2026.

Gephart, the City of Decatur’s community coordinator, was honored for her continuous dedication and contributions to Decatur’s downtown.
She is on the Decatur Main Street’s board of directors and works on the organization’s promotion, design and Decatur Day committees.
Also at the meeting, the organization’s new director, Taylor Braun, was introduced. Braun began her new duties on January 7.
“Taylor has already shown great enthusiasm, fresh ideas, and genuine excitement for downtown Decatur and the people who make it thrive,” Decatur Main Street said. “We are looking forward to the perspective she brings and are confident she will be a strong leader as Main Street continues to grow.”
Gephart was director of events for the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission when she was hired as Decatur’s community coordinator in July of 2021.
She is a graduate of Bellmont High School and Purdue University with a BS in Organization Leadership Supervision and Entrepreneurship and Innovation Certificate.
Jamie and her husband, Dustin, are the parents of three children.
