A Berne woman died Monday morning in a one-car accident northeast of Fort Wayne.
A release from the Allen Coroner’s Office has identified the driver as Madelyn Brianne Wurster, 25, of Berne.
She was alone in the car which veered off Irving Road near Thimlar around 6 a.m., according to Allen County police.
After leaving the road, the vehicle struck a driveway embankment and went airborne before crashing into a tree.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner ruled death was caused by multiple blunt force injuries.
The accident remains under investigation. The road apparently was snowy and icy at the time.
