December will be a busy month at the Adams County Historical Society’s Dugan Mansion/Museum, 420 W. Monroe St. in Decatur.
Two annual events, the Cookie Mingle & Jingle and Pictures with Santa are scheduled, and the society will be co-hosting a Christmas Home Tours.
Cookie Mingle & Jingle is set for this Saturday, Dec, 6 at the museum from 1-3 p.m.

Visitors – no admission will be charged – will be able to choose from a wide assortment of homemade cookies to fill a box for $10.
The following Friday, Dec. 12, Santa will be on hand for photos. Again, no admission will be charged.
For $25, a 5-10 minute photo session with Santa will be available and 5 x & printed or digital file photo will be provided.
Photos will be taken in the festively decorated museum by Sacred Images of Decatur.
Meanwhile, the historical society and Berne Chamber of Commerce will hold the Christmas Home Tours on Dec. 13-14 in Berne and Decatur.
Tickets are $20 per person and are available now at the Next Page Bookstore in Decatur and the Berne Chamber of Commerce.
There will be eight stops on the tour.
HAUGHTILY BUSY: Historical society officials said the museum was quite busy over four weekends in October when haunted tours were held.
A total of 1,576 visitors were drawn to the museum for some frightful thrills.
