Neil A. Scott, Sr., 76, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Saturday morning, November 22, 2025, in rural Bluffton, Indiana.
He was born on December 6, 1948, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late DeLoss Scott and Joan (Horn) Sheldon. Neil was united in marriage to Lynda Fry on November 2, 1967, in Allen County, Indiana.
In his retirement, he enjoyed working with the Amish Community.
Neil loved watching the Kansas City Chiefs Football. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lynda Scott of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Nealinda Scott of Decatur, Indiana; son, Neil Scott Jr. of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Melissa Brister of Decatur, Indiana; son, Mike (Amy) Scott of Decatur, Indiana; sister, Debi Beeks of Kendallville, Indiana; sister, Connie (Richard) Gutierrez of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sister, Julie Scott-Peters of Fort Wayne, Indiana; 11 grandchildren: Megan Scott, Christian Hopper, Cierra (Scott) Strater, Brittany (Will) Grayson, Daniel (Taylor Rodriguez) Scott, Michael (Abby) Scott, Stevie (Zach) Sutton, Alexis (Wes) Scott, Katelynn (Miles) Donovan, Matthew Scott, and Kodi Hamilton and 28 great-grandchildren.
Neil was preceded in death by his son, Steven Scott, and one brother, David Scott.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2025, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana.
