The second driver in a crash that killed an Adams County man and sent other passengers to the hospital has been located by Wells County police and now faces criminal charges. The man fled after a head-on collision early Saturday morning and was at-large for some time.

The Wells County Sheriff’s Office released the following statement regarding the apprehension of the suspect:
Around 10:15 am, approximately two miles from the crash scene, Juan Jimenez Gomez was captured after he had broke into a hog barn. Juan was identified as Driver 1 in the original report. Juan was transported to a local hospital due to injuries. A criminal case against Juan will be submitted to the Wells County Prosecutor’s Office for formal charges.
