
Ronald B. Loshe, 90, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at his home on Friday morning, October 24, 2025. Ron was born in Decatur on May 13, 1935, the son of the late Bernard T. and Frances H. (Meyer) Loshe. On June 28, 1958, Ron married Bernadette K. Lootens. She preceded him in death on September 18, 2002.
Ron was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a 1953 graduate of Decatur Catholic High School. He was a man of deep faith and loved sharing it with all he came in contact with.
Ron retired in 1999 from B.F. Goodrich as a maintenance mechanic. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict as a Flight Line Mechanic stationed in Japan.
He is survived by his 3 daughters, Terri (Rick) Beeler, Kathy (Scott) McGill and Susie (Tim) Ehlerding; sister, Joyce Faurote all of Decatur; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Ron was also preceded in death by a son, Richard B. “Rich” Loshe; a daughter, Julie A. Moellering; 3 brothers, Kenneth, Charlie and Joe Loshe; a sister, Rita Linder.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home with a reciting of the Holy Rosary at 3:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with Father Jacob Runyon presiding. There will be calling prior to Mass from 9:00 -10:00 a.m. in the St. Mary’s Parish Hall.
Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, with Military Graveside Rites by the American Legion Adams Post 43 Color Guard.
Preferred memorials are to St. Joseph Catholic School or St. Vincent de Paul Society.
