Ruth Maxine “Billie” Dubach, 107 of Bluffton, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday morning, September 25, 2025, at Swiss Village in Berne.
She was born on February 17, 1918, in Fairmount, Indiana to Fred & Hazel (Scripture) Bevington. A 1935 graduate of Bluffton High School, Billie and Albert D. Dubach were married on May 7, 1942, in Logansport, Indiana, before he left to serve in World War II. They were blessed with 59 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on May 30, 2001.

A dedicated homemaker, Billie also owned & operated The Collectors’ Spot, a collectible business for 25 years. She retired from the Research Center of Caylor-Nickel Clinic after 21 years of service. Billie was a talented quilter and enjoyed cooking for her family. She was active in the Wells County Gideons and was the oldest member of the Six Mile Church, where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years.
Survivors include her 3 children: Gloria G. (Don) Carrel of Fort Wayne, Ron D. (Margo) Dubach of Leo and Ken Dubach of Bluffton. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; Charles (Gretchen) Carrel, Ryan (Catie) Carrel, Scott Carrel, Erin (Greg) Neuenschwander, Matthew Dubach, Eric (Heather) Dubach, Dan (Bethany) Dubach, Kristen (Brady) Kaehr and Justin (Sarah) Dubach, along with 35 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Bob Bevington and two great-grandsons.
Visitation will be held from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Friday, (Oct. 3, 2025) at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton and for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
Funeral Services will take place at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, (Oct. 4, 2025) at Six Mile Church with her grandson, Pastor Eric Dubach officiating. Burial will follow at Six Mile Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Gideons International Wells County Camp.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Lemler family of the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton.
