Brett Kelsey will be making another “homecoming” appearance Thursday night as the Sweetwater All-Stars perform for the fourth annual Adams Health Senior Living concert on the Madison St. Plaza.
It will be the Fort Wayne band’s second appearance in Decatur this summer, following a June 12 show.
Thursday’s free concert will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
Food trucks will be available along with a cash bar serving wine slushies, beer and other beverages.
Kelsey, an original member of the All-Stars, was born and raised in Fort Wayne, but he has numerous relatives in the Decatur area.

Brett’s mother, the late Thelma Noll Kelsey Alexander, was born in Pleasant Mills. She had 15 siblings!
His late father was Ned Kelsey. Marilyn Noll Young is his aunt and among cousins Brett can remember are Janelle Young, Keith Young, Decatur Mayor Dan Rickord, Elaine Rash, and Kip Massoth.
All members of the All-Stars band are employees of Sweetwater Sound, including company founder and CEO Chuck Surack. The well-known philanthropist plays the saxophone.

Kelsey and his trumpet are part of an All-Star horn section which includes Surack and Marcus Farr on a trombone.
While Surack is best known as the owner of Sweetwater Sound, Inc. and a Fort Wayne entrepreneur, he’s been a professional sax player for more than 40 years.
Other band members are: Bob Bailey (vocals, guitar), Lisa McDavid (vocals), Nick D’Virgillio (vocals, drums), Don Carr (guitar, vocals), Jacob Dupre (keyboards), Dave Martin (bass) and William Brown (percussion).
