Wren Homecoming 2025 kicks off Friday and continues Saturday.
The annual event schedules all sorts of activities, featuring the annual wiffle tournament at Wrenway Park. The Ohio village bills itself as the “Wiffleball Capital of the World.”
This year’s tournament, the 33rd, will include 16 teams.
Lifelong Wren resident Bill Tumbleson will throw out the first pitch on Friday at 5:50 p.m.

A Marine Corps veteran, and longtime community leader, Bill helped develop the Wren Ballpark Association and coached girls’ softball for years. “When he’s not serving on the village council, you’ll find him and his wife Joann tending to their beautiful garden,” an announcement said.

Bill and his wife, the former Joann Halberstadt of Pleasant Mills, have been married 66 years.

A worship service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Moser Park and the Wren Heritage food shack will be open from 5:30 to p.m.
