Nancy J. Andrews, 81, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday morning, July 29, 2025, at Adams Woodcrest. She was born on June 30, 1944, in Decatur, IN, the daughter of Joseph and Mary A. (Wertzberger) Murphy. On May 11, 1968, Nancy married Larry K. Andrews, after 52 years of marriage he preceded her in death on May 26, 2020.
She was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Ladies Society. She was a 1963 graduate of Decatur Catholic High School. Nancy was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, an avid Euchre player and enjoyed reading.
Nancy is survived by her sons, William M. “Bill” Andrews and Jeffrey A. Andrews both of Decatur, IN; sister, Patricia (Bill) Baumer of Geneva, IN;
She was preceded in death by her 2 brothers, Jerry “Murph” Murphy and Mike Murphy; a sister, Marilyn Meyer.
Visitation will from 3:30-6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025 with reciting of the Holy Rosary at 3:00 p.m. at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2025 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Father Dale Bauman officiating. 1/2 hour calling will be prior to Mass from 9:30-10:00 a.m. in the Narthex of St. Mary’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Church or ACCF Angel Cancer Fund.
