One of the most popular bands to appear in the Decatur Chamber’s annual summer Concert Series will be returning to the Madison St. Plaza stage Thursday night.
E5C4P3, a Journey tribute band, will be making its fifth appearance in the eight-year history of the annual series, and its third year in a row.

E5C4P3 first performed on the plaza back in 2019, the second year of the Chamber-sponsored concerts.
The band is scheduled to play from 7 to 9:30 Thursday.

No admission is charged and, as usual, various types of food will be available, along with adult beverages provided by The Oasis Pub.
LONG TIME: E5C4P3 has been around awhile, since being formed in 1993. After going on hiatus in 1999, the band was reformed in 2008.
The five-man band says it focuses on the Steve Perry era, covering Journey hits like “Lights”, “Wheel in the Sky”, “ Separate Ways”, and “Be Good to Yourself.”

Taking on the role of Journey vocalist Steve Perry is Jason Kelty, 54, a Cleveland native who has been performing professionally since 1992.
After the Decatur show, the band will move into two Ohio sites, Springboro and Norton, for gigs on Friday and Saturday.
