Thera Jade Raugh, age 41 of Geneva, Indiana, Adams Co. passed away in an automobile accident in Adams Co. on July 8, 2025, with her son by her side.
Thera was born on November 2, 1983 in Portland, Indiana, to Steve Shepherd and Skeeter (Galloway) Williams. She graduated from South Adams High School and received a Peer Counselor Certificate in college. Thera worked as a manager for Canterbury Assisted Living Apartments in Portland and Westview Apartments in Montpelier. Thera loved animals and cooking. She was always looking forward to trying out new recipes her son, Dallas, asked for. She was often referred to as”The Chef”. Thera was a member of Geneva First Nazarene Church. She enjoyed her time spent with her family and adored her time with her nieces and nephews.
Thera was preceded in death by her son, Dallas M. Raugh, and paternal grandparents Silas and Dorothy Shepherd and Anne and David Moore.
Loving survivors include her parents, Johnny and Skeeter Williams of Geneva, IN, and Steve and Cindy Shepherd of Montpelier, IN, siblings, Clarece Shepherd of Geneva, IN, Shilo Shepherd of Berne, IN, Alina Shepherd of Geneva, IN, Robyn Williams of Berne, IN, and Johnny Williams of Berne, IN, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home located at N. 100 Washington St. Geneva, IN 46740 on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 1pm to 6pm. A funeral service will be held at 6pm with Todd Raugh and Brenda Haddix officiating.
