Jackson G. Shelton, 70, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on June 29, 2025, at Envive Healthcare of Berne after a brief illness.

He was born on December 1, 1954, in Wenatchee, Washington to Johnnie Lee Shelton and the late Betty Ann (Betsy) Shelton.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army Armored Corps and retired as an Insurance Adjustor from State Farm Insurance. Prior to that he worked at various automotive dealerships in the area as a mechanic and Body Shop Manager. He was involved with the lives of many in the community over the years as a mentor and a teacher of automotive mechanics. He was an avid marksman but was the happiest with a mechanic’s wrench in his hand.
Survivors include John Shelton of Franklin, Arkansas; Joan (Louis) Braun of Saratoga, Wyoming; Jay (Chong) Shelton of Van Buren, Arkansas; Glenn (Susan) Watts of Decatur, Indiana; Lindsey ((Zachary) Mack of New York City, New York; Jonathan (Amie) Braun of Denver, Colorado; Nick Grover of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Adam (Angelica) Grover of Sedilia, Missouri and an abundance of Great Nephews, Nieces and dear friends.
In honoring Jackson’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
Interment will be at Robert’s Cemetery, Franklin, Arkansas.
