After two concerts featuring popular rock then rhythm and blues, country rock will be featured on the Madison St. Plaza this Thursday as part of the Decatur Chamber’s summer concert series.
Derek Jones & The 50 South will perform from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
The Wisconsin-based Jones, a Navy vet, has played the plaza stage in the past.

Jones & The 50 South was named the Country Music Organization’s Band of the Year for 2023.
In addition to four years spent touring alongside Billy Ray Cyrus, Jones says he has shared stages with Charlie Daniels, Trace Adkins, Dwight Yoakam, Ashley McBryde, Jamey Johnson, Whiskey Myers, Phil Vassar and more.
The 2021 release of his EP Last of a Dying Breed debuted at No. 3 on iTunes.
Food vendors and adult beverages supplied by The Oasis Pub will be available Thursday.
No admission is charged for the Chamber’s annual series.
