Several new names are on the list of bands set to perform this year in the Decatur Chamber of Commerce’s seventh annual Summer Concert Series on the Madison St. Plaza.
As in the past, all 13 concerts will be held on Thursdays, with some starting times set for 6 p.m. and others for 7. Finishing times also vary.
All but one of the concerts will be held on the Madison St. Plaza. The lone exception is the July 3 performance by Proud Mary CCR, to be held on the Riverside Center parking lot as part of the city’s annual fireworks and veterans’ recognition to celebrate the Fourth of July.

No admission will be charged at the concerts. Food and adult beverages will be available.
The series kicks off June 5 with Whoa, Man! and winds up on August 28 with the Bulldogs.
The first-timers are Whoa, Man!, Evolution Band, Proud Mary CCR, Sunglasses At Night, Joe Young, Back and Forth Foo Fighters.
Fort Wayne-based Who, Man! features four alternating female lead singers in a seven-piece band.
