The Grainery is back in business! Reduced business, anyway!
Just 10 days after a Dec. 7 fire devastated the downtown florist and gift shop, the Grainery reopened for business in an old store just south of its burned-out building.
“Right now, we’re just taking phone (260-724-3709) and online orders, not walk-in,” co-owner Josh Franz said Tuesday. “We’re not that quick,” he laughed, referring to the quick turnout to get back in business.
“We’re encouraging people to go on our website and see what we have to offer,” Franz added.
“If you are needing a Christmas bouquet or a funeral gift, we can help you out,” he had posted on Facebook.
Franz told WZBD.com last week that the Grainery will be rebuilt.
The Grainery got its start in the old First St. building now being used after Josh’s parents, Marge and the late Ron, purchased the Legge Elevator from George Fuelling in 1995.
