Continued dry conditions have led the Adams County Commissioners to extend a burn ban effective immediately in Adams County. Acting on the request of all fire chiefs in the county, the Adams County Commissioners Tuesday extended the ban that was put into place last week. This covers all of Adams County, both rural areas as well as cities and towns.
Meanwhile, local motorists need to be aware of a change in a major intersection in Monroe that goes into effect today, and that’s a new four-way stop along State Road 124. WZBD’s Ed Thurman spoke with Sheriff Dan Mawhorr about that development, along with the Sheriff’s request for federal money to provide needed storage for the department’s cameras…
Mawhorr’s department includes body cameras for deputies and jail workers, 18 police vehicles, and dozens of cameras within the jail.
