Meanwhile, all remaining items at the former Golden Meadows Retirement Home in Adams County will be on the auction block this weekend. A public auction of the items will be held at the Golden Meadows site Saturday morning at 10am. Everything will be sold to the highest bidder except for the building and the land itself. Golden Meadows closed as a county home earlier this year after serving local residents for well over 100 years at that site.
The Adams County Commissioners are now faced with what to do with the Golden Meadows building and the remaining land surrounding the facility. They plan to investigate it further following this weekend’s auction.
