A large group of Woodcrest Retirement Community residents enjoyed a night out together Thursday as the fourth annual Adams Health Network’s Senior Living Night was held on the Madison St. Plaza in Decatur.
Susan Sefton, director of Community Outreach/Marketing at Adams Health Network (AHN), said 120 Woodcrest folks were on hand for the event, along with numerous AHN volunteers.
Gathered under a large tent on the plaza, they were treated to burgers and more, plus nearly three hours of music presented by the Sweetwater All-Stars of Fort Wayne.
After 13 consecutive Thursday night concerts staged by the Chamber of Commerce, this one was an AHN presentation, although the usual Chamber officials were involved once again.
On another hot concert night – it was 85 degrees at the 5:30 start – the All-Stars brought forth their usual hot R&B music.

It was the band’s third performance in Adams County in just under six weeks, beginning with their appearance on a Saturday night at Swiss Days in Berne.
Although the Thursday night concerts have come to an end this year, there is still one more concert scheduled for the plaza.
The Adams County Cancer Coalition will host An Evening with Island Vibe from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20.
