George Swygart, age 92, of Mendon, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
Among the survivors is a son Randy Swygart of Mendon, and a daughter Susan (Jeff) Roehm of Willshire.
George was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953.
He was a farmer before he began driving trucks for Van Wert area companies for 35 years.
Calling Hours will be held on Friday, August 16, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by the Funeral Service starting at 12:30.
Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery, Rockford, with Military Rites to be conducted by Celina American Legion Post #210 and VFW Post #5713.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of the donor’s choice.
