Patrick J. “Pat” Lengerich, 67, of Decatur, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, November 27, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family. Pat was born in Decatur on January 20, 1956 to the late John C. and Anna M. (Korba) Lengerich. On November 4, 1978, Pat married Mary Ann Staub.
Pat attended First Baptist Church. He worked as a Mechanic for Selking International.
Pat loved traveling and taking his annual camping and hiking trips with his sons. He and his family visited 45 states, which many of those were National Parks. Pat enjoyed gardening and tending to his fruit trees, playing cards, and woodworking. He always was a positive guy and never had a negative thing to say about anyone. Pat was a hard worker and was a man of few words.
Pat is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Ann Lengerich of Decatur; 3 sons, Adam J. (Sunny) Lengerich of Seattle, WA, Bret M. Lengerich of Los Angeles, CA and Drew M. Lengerich of Boston, MA; siblings, Kathleen Lengerich of Westfield, IN, Steve (Sandy) Lengerich of Sheridan, IN, Jean Survance of Cannelburg, IN, David (Sandy) Lengerich of Decatur, Paul (Patti) Lengerich of Fort Lupton, CO, Mark (Judy) Lengerich of Decatur and Rita (John) Gill of Greenback, TN.
Visitation will be from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at First Baptist Church, with Pastor Whitney West officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Preferred memorial can be made to First Baptist Church.
