Norman E. Pollock, 89, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at his residence. He was born on January 12, 1934, in Adams County, IN, the son of the late Asa A. and Harrlett E. (Roggenkemper) Pollock.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was also a lifetime member of both the V.F.W. Post 6236 and the Elks BPOE Lodge 993.
Norm worked at General Electric in Decatur, retiring after 21 years of service. He also served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife Sue Pollock of Decatur, married on March 12, 1994; 4 sons, Brett W. Pollock of Decatur, Kirk E. Pollock of Fort Wayne, Tim M. (Ann) Geimer of Decatur, Jon C. (Shannah) Geimer of Akeley, MN; a daughter, Beth A. (John) Geimer-Flood of Fort Wayne; a brother, Roger A. Pollock of Decatur; a sister, Linda L. Pollock of Decatur; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
Norm was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, Francis, David, Alan and James Pollock; a sister, Mary Snyder.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home. Pastor Steve Bard will be officiating and burial will take place at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Heart-to-Heart Hospice.
