Applications are still being taken for the United Way of Adams County’s Angel Tree.
People fill out an application to have the name of a child whose family is struggling financially placed on the Angel Tree in the United Way office. Various individuals, organizations and business select a name (or names) from the tree and provide them Christmas gifts through the United Way.
Individuals and organizations are welcome to take a name from the tree by visiting the United Way office in the stand-alone building in front of the former Gerber Supermarket on Monroe St.
Applications are available on Facebook at www.unitedwayofadamscounty.com, on Facebook at Uni Adams and at the following locations:
Libraries and police departments in Decatur, Berne and Geneva, the Adams Central School office, and Adams County Sheriff’s Department office.

Monday, December 4, is the absolute deadline for submitting an application.
Completed applications may be dropped in the Christmas bag that is provided at one of the above sites or at the United Way office.
Volunteers from Hero Meals (see photo) recently wrapped some gifts at Riverside Center. Also, a group of pickleballers, including Cindy Wass (photo), left the courts to pitch in with wrapping.

Volunteers are needed to do wrap gifts; those interested should call the United Way office, 728-2056.
Following the closing of LOVE. Inc., United Way of Adams County has joined forces with the Fraternal Order of Police (Shop with a Cop) in supplying Christmas presents for financially struggling families.
