A total of 25 women attended Adams Memorial Hospital’s recent Mammography Night.
Craig Sorg, manager of the Radiology Department (members seen in photo) said the women attended the event in a relaxed setting and received 3-D mammograms, refreshments, gifts, and free back massages by Deb Barron.
All completed mammograms were interpreted by board-certified radiologists from Summit Radiology in Fort Wayne, using the latest in digital technology.
The cost of the mammograms was filed with the individual’s insurance plan.
The Radiology Department also noted that since the hospital has received a grant from the Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust (IBCAT), individuals who qualified financially also received the test at no cost.
The IBCAT grant is also available for those that qualify for the rest of 2023 as AMH applies for the grant annually.
To schedule a mammogram, women should call the hospital’s central scheduling department, (260) 724-2145, ext. 11047.
