Reports are filtering in from Berne that a power outage began at roughly 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening in the Swiss City.
WZBD 92.7 FM and its Berne broadcast location went off the air when the outage started and reports say that many other businesses along US 27 are also affected.
Traffic lights are out at the intersection of Parr Road and US 27.
Police are on the scene to direct motorists through the intersection.
The station will come back on air once power is restored to the studio and the broadcast tower.
AEP estimates that 318 customers are without power.
