Here’s the bad news that was discussed at the Adams County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday…the county has another major road detour due to a bridge being replaced…
However, there’s worse news…there are actually two bridges being replaced…
And now for the really bad news…the work will take a year to complete!

It’s all on State Road 218 west of Berne, where the Indiana Department of Transportation in now replacing two bridges that take motorists over the Wabash River.
WZBD’s Ed Thurman spoke with Adams County Highway Superintendent Brad Yoder about the work, and the plea for motorists to use the recommended detour to get around the work…
Again, the work on replacing the bridges on Highway 218 over the Wabash River west of Berne is now underway, and it will take a full year to complete.
