Funeral services will be held Friday for Rodolfo (Rudy) Nunez, a 49-year-old Decatur man who died last Friday in a construction accident in Elkhart County.
The Elkhart County Coroner ruled the death as accidental.
Nunez was a heavy machine operator for Milestone Construction Co. and was with a crew working on US 20 in Elkhart County Friday afternoon. According to reports, he was cleaning equipment when some of his clothes got caught in an auger and pulled him in.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Milestone Construction is based in Syracuse, Indiana.
Nunez, a Bellmont High School graduate, and his family are members of St. Mark’s Church, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, and one hour prior to Friday’s services.
