Nancy J. Burkhart, 70, of New Haven, Indiana passed away Thursday evening, October 12, 2023, at Ashton Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She was born on August 6, 1953, in Shenandoah, Iowa to the late James A. Severns and the late Thelma N. (Akes) Severns. She was united in marriage to Ronald G. Burkhart on February 15, 1985.
Nancy was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and also in the Navy Club Auxiliary in New Haven.
She retired from Do-It Best Corporation following 20 years of service.
Nancy enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She spent countless hours volunteering and updating the memberships for the Navy Club Auxiliary and parent body.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald G. Burkhart of New Haven, Indiana; son, Terry D. Cabeen of Colorado; daughter, Angela S. Monteith of Michigan; brother, Rick Severns of Texas; brother, Tim Severns of New Mexico; and three grandchildren.
