Scott Marbach was appointed and sworn in by Adams County Clerk Shelly Brite on Tuesday at the Adams County Courthouse.
Marbach is filling the rest of the term as a member of the Union Township Board due to the resignation of Eric Miller, who moved outside the township.

Adams County Republican Party Chairman Steve Justus appointed Mr. Marbach to the position.
“I am confident that Scott Marbach will protect taxpayers of Union Township. It was important for me to appoint one who will ask the tough questions over the spending that has taken place in Union Township which has contributed to a higher tax rate for the citizens of Union Township,” said Chairman Justus.
Marbach is a lifelong resident of Union Township and a forty-year member of the Union Township Lion Club, where he is the club’s secretary.
