Light it up!
That’s what the Porter Family Foundation has done to the ball diamond it sponsors at the REV Sports Complex in Decatur.
The Porter family has turned over a donation of $125,000 to the Decatur Park Board to cover the cost of lighting the field at the west end of the complex.
It becomes the first of the six diamonds in the complex to have lights erected.

There are lights on four poles at the Formula Field waiting to be hooked up by Bleeke Electric. The Porter family owns and operates Formula Boats in Decatur.

Musco Lighting of Dublin, Ohio, installed the lights.
Larry Isch, president of the park board, said anyone wishing to donate funds to light another diamond, or to make a donation to the complex, should contact him.
