
Public transportation in Adams County will get a major boost soon, and county residents will soon be able to travel for important needs.
The County Commissioners have approved a plan to begin expanded public transportation for the handicapped, elderly, and those who can’t afford their own vehicle for necessities.
WZBD’s Ed Thurman spoke with Michelle Lengerich, Director of Adams County Council on Aging, about the new program, which will hopefully begin in early January.
Adams County Transit will use graduated fees, based on the distance traveled.
