The City of Decatur continues to grow as the City Council took the next step in the planned annexation of new portions of the addition surrounding the new holes at Cross Creek.
The annexation has been requested for section 4 of the Meadows of Cross Creek, approximately 24.5 acres.

Council accepted the petition requesting the annexation and also a fiscal plan prepared by City Attorney Anne Razo. A public hearing on the annexation will be held at the Oct. 3 meeting of council.
“It’s great to see this growth,” Mayor Dan Rickord said, referring to the Meadows request and the recent annexation of an area of Lake Shores on the eastern side of the city. The latter involved 24.219 acres.
