Eugene W. Dow Jr., 64, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, August 15, 2023, at his residence in Bluffton following a short illness.
Eugene was born on May 8, 1959, in Neptune, New Jersey, to Eugene W. Dow Sr. and Shirley M. (Worth) Dow, both parents survive and reside in Forked River, New Jersey.
He was a graduate of Howell Township High School. Eugene worked for TI Automotive in Ossian, IN. from 1999 to 2007 before retiring and working part-time with Bluffton/Fort Wayne South KOA Journey campground as a groundskeeper and maintenance man. In his spare time, Eugene enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and hunting, traveling, woodworking and working on anything mechanical that needed fixing, most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three children; Nicholas Dow of Ossian, IN., Gene Dow of Ankeny, Iowa and Misty Dow of Ankeny, Iowa; nine grandchildren, three brothers; David A. Dow of Toms River, New Jersey, Donald J. (Carrie) Dow of Florida and Kenneth E. Dow of North Carolina.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Bluffton/Fort Wayne South KOA Journey campground in Bluffton, time and date to be published when arrangements have been completed.
Memorials can be made in Eugene’s memory to the Donor’s Choice.
