Jerry Vore, age 72, of rural Portland passed away Monday August 7, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Decatur, Indiana on January 4, 1951 the son of LeRoy and Mildred Myrle (Stevens) Vore. Jerry was self employed selling cars and owning houses, he also had worked for International Harvester. He attended Cornerstone Baptist Church, attended Berne French Schools and worked on old cars.
Surviving are his son Troy Vore (wife Sherry) of Portland, two brothers Joe Vore (wife Barbara) of Berne and Jay Vore (wife Geezy) of Syracuse, one sister Janet Wagner of Florida and two grandsons Dustin and Kelsey Vore.
Funeral services will be Wednesday August 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Ward presiding. Burial will follow in the Center Cemetery.
