Two Brothers Restaurant and Bar in Decatur celebrated an anniversary Tuesday with a parking lot bash that attracted a large crowd amid nice weather.
The feature attraction was the Hubie Ashcraft Band as Two Brothers owners Donna and Kevin Conrad marked the 75th anniversary of the downtown business founded in 1947 by brothers “Cornie” and Al Geimer.

Food and adult beverages were also part of the celebration held in the city parking lot behind Two Brothers. Some items from the Madison St. Plaza were shifted to the lot for use on the lot.
The seven-hour event kicked off at 4 p.m., with the popular Ashcraft band (photo) entertaining from 6-8 p.m. A corn hole tournament (see photo) was held as part of the festivities.

There was no admission charge but the Conrads asked for free-will donations to go to the Adams County Cancer Coalition, “in honor of our loved ones who have battled cancer.”
From its 1947 start, Two Brothers now occupies four buildings “with original workmanship exposed since 1892,” its website says.
