If you’re hot for the Red Hot Chili Peppers of the 1980s and beyond, then come on down to the Madison St. Plaza in Decatur Thursday night where you will get a couple of hours of RHCP music.
The Red NOT Chili Peppers will be performing from 7 to 9 p.m. In the latest edition of the Decatur Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 Summer Concert Series.

There is no admission charge. Food vendors and adult beverages will be available.
The Red NOT Chili Peppers say they pay tribute to the “ultimate funk rock quartet – a band who has transcended three decades of chart-topping success as well as developed one of the largest die-hard fan bases in the world.”
The original Peppers were formed in Los Angeles in 1982.
Thursday’s entertainment will also include local talent, 10-year-old Savannah Zimmerman (photo) set to perform at 6:45 p.m. She will get guitar accompaniment from her dad, Josh.

After leaving Decatur on Thursday, the Not Peppers will play Naperville, Illinois, on Friday and Valparaiso, Indiana, on Saturday.
