
Randy J. Masterson, 62 of rural Pennville, passed away early Friday morning, June 30, 2023, at River Terrace in Bluffton.
Randy was born on December 21st, 1960, in Bluffton, Indiana to Thomas Masterson and Janet (Larimer) Meade. He graduated from Bluffton High School with the class of 1978.
He married Glenda Callahan on September 24, 2012, in Clarksville, VA.
Randy was an extremely hard-working individual and worked many jobs throughout his life. Working as a maintenance supervisor at Pretzels, Sterling Casting, Keebler, Fort Wayne Foundry, and Super Aluminum Co. He then became the owner/operator of A.I.C., a company that designed equipment to lay down rock carpet. This was the first in this area.
He enjoyed many outdoor activities such as water skiing, boating, camping and really enjoyed golfing and golf cart rides. Going to the lake was a passion and he found his peace on the water.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda, and his mother Janet Meade of Bluffton, stepmother Joyce Masterson of Ft. Wayne, as well as sons Jason (Shawna) Masterson of Decatur, Josh (Mandy) Masterson of Michigan, Jason (Amy) Lawrence of Portland, and daughter Kristin (Dustin Denney) Wells of Redkey, along with 14 grandchildren. Also, sisters Roxann (Jim) Vernon of Avon Park, FL, Rea (Roger) Hudson of Bourbonnais, IL, Rebecca ( Matt Boots) Masterson of Bluffton, Tonya Hoffman of Ft. Wayne and Diana (Springer) Witted of Fort Wayne, and a sister-in-law Linda (Sam) Phillips of Marian, NC.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Masterson and his grandparents Orville and Betty “Maxine” Larimer.
Visitation will take place from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M on Wednesday (July 5, 2023) at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton.
Funeral Services will take place at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday (July 6, 2023) at the funeral home with Reverend Juan Laredo and Barry Crosbie officiating. There will be visitation an hour before the service. Burial will take place at Bluff Pointe Cemetery in Portland, IN.
