The Adams County Community Foundation (ACCF) recently awarded a collaborative grant to the Swiss Village Arthur & Gloria Muselman Wellness Pavilion and Purdue Extension for Hands on Nutrition classes. These classes took place in three sessions. The first session focused on meal planning and streamlining daily nutrition. The second session allowed participants an interactive challenge to shop and make healthy choices on a budget. The last session of the Hands on Nutrition classes involved cooking and taste testing eight new and healthy recipes.
Brianna Eicher, Muselman Wellness Pavilion Wellness Director and grant writer, expressed appreciation to the ACCF for this grant. Rachel Dillhoff, Purdue Extension educator, added that a family can eat healthy on a budget. Karen Fawcett, ACCF grants committee member, noted that the ACCF is pleased to be able to support the Muselman Wellness and Purdue Extension for nutrition classes.
