Decatur Mayor Dan Rickord was at Adams Woodcrest last week to meet with a group of Assisted Living residents and issue a proclamation declaring the week National Assisted Living Week in the city.
According to the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living, the special week provides a unique opportunity for residents, their loved ones, staff, volunteers, and the surrounding communities to recognize the role of assisted living in caring for America’s seniors and individuals with disabilities.
