Adams Memorial Hospital has announced plans for its annual Mammography Night.
Organized by the hospital’s radiology department, the event dedicated to women’s health will be held at that department on Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.
“This initiative … aims to encourage women to prioritize their health by offering 3-D screening mammograms,” the announcement said.
Radiology Director Trisha Tester emphasized the importance of the event, particularly for women who have not had a mammogram in the past five years or have not previously received one at Adams Memorial Hospital.
Attendees will not only have access to essential health screenings and education, but will also enjoy a night of relaxation with complimentary refreshments and massages, she said.

The cost of the mammogram will be processed through the individual’s insurance plan, according to the announcement.
However, thanks to funding from the Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust Grant, eligible individuals who are in financial need may qualify for a free screening mammogram.
All mammograms will be interpreted by board-certified radiologists from Summit Radiology in Fort Wayne, utilizing the latest digital technology for accurate results, the hospital said.
To schedule a mammogram for this special event and to inquire about financial eligibility, those interested should call the hospital’s central scheduling office, (260) 724-2145, ext.11046 or ext. 11047.
