Decatur’s city swimming pool will be open for business on Thursday, with the first 400 swimmers being admitted free of charge.
The pool has been closed this week due to a problem with a pump motor.
Parks Superintendent Cara Gerber said Wednesday that the pool was circulating water at 86 degrees, the pump having been repaired and placed back into service.

The pool will have extended hours Thursday, noon to 8 p.m.
Gerber said the first 400 people through the doors will be admitted without charge, courtesy of ABCinema, ABC Real Estate and Travel, Corey and Barb Affolder.
