William T. Kelley, 91, of Decatur, passed away Friday morning, June 12, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Port Clinton, Ohio, on January 25, 1935, to Leo and Vera (Lindsey) Kelley. On October 11, 1958, Bill married Kathryn Brumbaugh.
Bill graduated from the University of Cincinnati and was an Engineer, Vice President & General Manager at Textron in Berne.
He was an avid golfer with six career holes-in-one! Bill also enjoyed trap and skeet shooting.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Kate Kelley of Decatur, IN; his son, Douglas Kelley of Jacksonville, FL; his daughter, Diane (Ryan) Sweat of Decatur, IN; a sister, Karen Hunt of Tampa, FL; a sister-in-law, Saundra Kelley; a brother-in-law, Don Shawler; 4 granddaughters, Deondra (Zach) Birch, Sammie (Zach) Agler, Ali (Patrick) Hakes and Ravyn Sweat; 8 great grandchildren, Draven, Xander, Danny, Ella, Beckam, Haisleigh, Michael J. and Emberleigh.
He was preceded in death by his brother & sister-in-law, Robert (Shirley) Kelley; brother, John Kelley; brother-in-law, Robert Hunt; sister, Patricia Shawler.
A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, with a memorial visitation prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
